Specifications
The subject of archeozoological analysis is the study of bones, teeth and other parts of animal bodies (e.g. horns, hooves, shellfish shells, etc.) in an archaeological context. The analysis uses and incorporates knowledge from the natural and humanities fields. There is very close cooperation especially with archeology, which expands on the zoological findings e.g. with temporal and spatial information.

Conditions
The laboratory performs sampling for analysis or ensures the removal of animal bones at the site of analysis at the archaeological site for the customer. In the laboratory, analysis is performed consisting of a detailed description and measurements of each bone according to archaeozoological standards. The data is stored in a archaeozoological database. We usually count the time of technical collection and consultation, as well as the time spent by the analyst on the given project during the analysis. The price is usually around 400 CZK per hour without VAT. The product is a comprehensive analytical report, usually transmitted in digital form.
